Refund & Return Policy

Effective Date: June 25, 2026

This Refund & Return Policy ("Policy") applies to all purchases made through the Vertical Aminos website, owned and operated by Vertical Collective, LLC ("Vertical Collective," "we," "our," or "us"). This Policy should be read together with our Purchase Terms & Conditions. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the nature of research materials and the inability to verify integrity or storage conditions once products leave our facility:

All sales are final unless otherwise required by law or expressly permitted under this Policy. We do not accept returns or exchanges based on change of mind, ordering error, no longer needing the product, dissatisfaction with research outcomes, or any reason other than those expressly covered below.

2. Eligible Claims

You may submit a claim under this Policy only if one or more of the following applies:

Damaged in transit — product arrived broken, leaking, or visibly compromised Incorrect product shipped — you received an item different from what you ordered Missing item — your shipment is incomplete relative to the packing slip Manufacturing defect — product fails to match the documented batch specifications Claims outside these categories are not eligible. Specifically, the following are not refundable, returnable, or replaceable:

Opened, used, or partially-consumed products Products improperly stored after delivery (heat, light, contamination exposure) Products purchased on clearance, final-sale, or promotional pricing where marked "final sale" Custom or special-order items Products refused at delivery without prior authorization Products lost or damaged after delivery (see §8)

3. Claim Window

All claims must be initiated within seven (7) calendar days of the delivery date as recorded by the shipping carrier's tracking confirmation.

Claims submitted after this window will be denied automatically.

4. How to Submit a Claim

To initiate a claim:

Email support@verticalaminos.com within the 7-day window. Include in your message: Your order number (e.g., ORD-10003) The full name and email associated with the order The specific product(s) affected A clear description of the issue Clear, well-lit photographs showing the issue, the product label, the batch number, and the outer packaging Do not discard the product or packaging until your claim is resolved. We may request additional photos or the return of the affected product for inspection. We will respond within three (3) business days with a determination or a request for additional information. Claims submitted without required photographs or documentation may be denied or delayed.

5. Resolution Hierarchy

When a claim is approved, Vertical Collective, LLC will resolve it in the following order of preference, at our sole discretion:

Store credit — issued to your account, equal to the value of the affected product(s) plus any shipping reimbursement we agree to cover. Store credit does not expire. This is our default remedy. Replacement — same product, same batch where available, shipped at no additional cost to you. Refund — issued to the original payment method, less any non-refundable charges (e.g., third-party payment processor fees that are non-recoverable to us). We reserve the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the claim, product availability, and prior account history. You may request a specific remedy, but we are not obligated to honor that request.

6. Refund Processing

When a refund is the agreed remedy:

Refunds are processed within five (5) to ten (10) business days of claim approval. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method. We do not issue refunds via alternative methods, third-party accounts, or to a different cardholder. Time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or payment processor and is outside our control (typically 3–10 additional business days). For payments made via cryptocurrency, manual payment methods (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, wire), or other non-reversible channels, refunds will be issued as store credit only unless otherwise required by law.

7. Return Shipping

If the claim is approved and we request that the product be returned:

For our error (damaged shipment, incorrect product, manufacturing defect): we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. For any other approved return: the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and bears the risk of loss during return transit. Products returned without prior authorization or without using the return label we provide may not be processed or credited.

8. Lost, Stolen, or Undeliverable Shipments

Risk of loss transfers to the purchaser upon delivery of the shipment to the carrier. We are not responsible for:

Packages marked as delivered by the carrier but reportedly not received Packages lost or damaged during transit (file a claim with the carrier directly) Packages returned to us due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the customer Packages refused at delivery If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to a customer-provided error, we may, at our discretion:

Reship the order after the customer pays for new shipping and any address-correction fees, or issue store credit for the product cost only, less original outbound shipping

9. Order Cancellations

Before shipment: orders may be canceled by emailing support@verticalaminos.com. Cancellation requests received before a shipping label is generated will be honored with a full refund or store credit. After shipment: orders cannot be canceled once a tracking number has been issued. Standard return procedures apply if the shipment is later eligible under §2. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion as described in our Purchase Terms & Conditions.

10. Chargebacks

If you believe there is an issue with your order, you must contact our customer support team and complete the claim process described in this Policy before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer.

Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the matter through this Policy:

Constitutes a material breach of our Purchase Terms & Conditions May result in immediate and permanent termination of your account and a ban on future orders May be contested using all available documentation, including order records, identity verification, shipment tracking, delivery confirmation, email correspondence, and your acceptance of these Terms at checkout Customers found to have filed fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks may be referred to third-party fraud databases and may be liable for our reasonable dispute-handling costs.

11. Right to Deny Claims

Vertical Collective, LLC reserves the right to deny any claim, in whole or in part, in our sole discretion, including but not limited to:

Claims submitted outside the 7-day window Claims unsupported by required photographs or documentation Claims from accounts with a history of excessive returns or chargebacks Claims involving products that show evidence of improper storage, tampering, or misuse Claims that conflict with our records of shipment, delivery, or product condition

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Return Policy at any time without prior notice. The version posted on this website at the time your order is placed shall govern that order.
